Tardy Policy

A student is TARDY if they are entering the classroom after the bell rings. Students must have a tardy slip from a KIOSK or BUS PASS (Bus Pass - only for Period 1 or 2). 

Steps to handling late students: 

• Students are to be ADMITTED to class, 
  • Mark the student TARDY in Student Information System (SIS)
  • Document on form 2464 if behavior becomes chronic. 
    Progressive Discipline will be followed 

Please make provisions for students who are tardy because of school transportation. 

Passes to excuse students: 

• Bus Passes - Date will be marked on pass 
• Guidance Passes 
• Testing Passes 
• Specific Administration Passes 

Students: Teachers will NOT hold students after the bell has rung nor issue a tardy pass and cause students to be tardy to their next class. We need to respect students’ and teachers’ instructional time. 

Passes that are provided to students excusing a Tardy will only be issued by: Administration, Main Office, Guidance and/or Mental Health Professionals. 

All passes will be collected by the teacher upon entry to the classroom and disposed of by the teacher. 

Students will be allowed to enter campus starting at 8:00 a.m. and school starts at 8:35 a.m. each day.
